Velion Design & Drafting was founded by Rotem Shalem, a Sydney-based Mechanical Design Engineer with over 15 years’ experience across mechanical design, structural steel, fabrication, construction, industrial equipment, and production automation.Rotem holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Ben Gurion University, Israel, where he graduated in the top 2% of his cohort. He also holds an Australian Carpenter Licence and Certificate IV in Building & Construction.His professional background includes roles with Israel Aerospace Industries, Applied Robotics, Schenck Process, ProHome Sydney, Xhibitor Services, and SMD Engineering, covering aerospace manufacturing, robotic automation, mining equipment, aluminium fabrication, exhibition construction, structural steel design, and site installation.
